Technology is an enabler of the changes to come in the Finance department as our business world evolves into requiring larger data volumes, faster response times and deeper derived insights. The future in which a single platform for EPM, for BI, for transactional data, for operational details, for social and demographic information, all accessible in near-real time, is not far away.
It is to squander a portion of the significant investment companies make on Finance platforms if they allow these systems to operate EPM / ERP / BI / Analytics in soloed technologies and under disparate corporate groups. The enterprise platform must recognize data as an asset being utilized across the organization to drive growth, profitability and change. This unified platform should ultimately lower total cost of ownership (TCO), ramps up user adoption (by giving one source of truth), and increases Return on Investment (ROI).
VantagePoint architect the broader solution and not rely on a patchwork of systems / applications to support various internal constituencies. We have focused our efforts in defining integrated platform, and building EPM and analytic solutions with an eye towards that future of one single platform.
To this end, we’ve staked our claim in the SAP technology space. Our opinion is that SAP is farther along the path of tightly integrating ERP with BI with EPM, as evidenced with the release of S/4 HANA.
Our legacy is with the SAP Business Planning and Consolidations (BPC) tool. But we’ve grown to support the gamut of SAP EPM solutions. As the first partner globally to implement SAP Analytics Cloud, VantagePoint has been privileged to partner with SAP in helping define product enhancements and features. We have caught the vision for what Analytics Cloud can be – a full future integration of planning, business intelligence, predictive algorithms, data visualization, and process collaboration – and as such are early adopters.
Through our team of experienced consultants, as well as our network of tightly aligned partners, are skilled in deploying EPM solutions in a variety of methodologies. On bread-and-butter has traditionally been the on premise solution for EPM. And we continue to do much of our business in this model.
However, we have set ourselves up for the in-process wave towards hosted or SaaS solutions. Whether a client’s EPM solution is deployed through a third party hosting firm, like Freudenberg IT or Pacific Cloud Services, or deployed on a subscription basis directly from SAP, VantagePoint has the experience and relationships to guide our customers in determining the right deployment option for them, and carrying through on the execution thereof.
